1. Under the following conditions, the sensor housing must be grounded by itself:

(1) The sensor installation equipment is also equipped with a high-power motor that is frequently started. The fluctuation of the shell potential during operation will be coupled to the sensor bridge through distributed capacitance, causing noise on the sensor output signal and unstable weighing data.

(2) Static electricity is generated due to the friction between dynamic logistics media, which will result in extremely high potential. The sensor will be burnt when discharging through the sensor, so the sensor must have a separate grounding device. For example, if lubricating oil is poured into the container from a height of 6 meters, a spark discharge of 10 mm will be generated; Acetylene is ejected from the cylinder mouth, and 8KV voltage can be accumulated; The flow of pulverized coal in the steel pipe at the speed of 2.5m/s will generate 7.5KV static voltage. Therefore, the importance of grounding device can be judged.

2. Set the sensor high current return cable:

(1) When the large current caused by lightning returns to the ground, connect the upper and lower installation parts of the sensor with a flat copper wire to shunt the current to the ground and protect the sensor.

(2) During electric welding, the zero line of the welding machine has a large current passing through the sensor support point. It is better to connect with copper braided wire. When the welding part is above the sensor, the zero line of the welding machine should be placed above the installation direction of the sensor. When the welding part is below the sensor, the zero line of the welding machine should be placed below the installation position of the sensor, which can better protect the sensor from damage caused by high current flowing directly through the sensor.
