Pharmaceutical enterprises should carefully consider the following issues when purchasing electronic weighing instruments: Do they want to weigh corrosive substances? Is it used to weigh explosive substances? Moisture or dust particles in weighing environment (protection grade)? What is the purpose of purchasing electronic weighing apparatus (weighing, weight checking, counting, filling, formula application)? Do you want to print? Do you need to connect with the computer for easy control? Do you have a minimum weighing warning function? What other applications do you need electronic weighing instruments to provide?

In the process of API production, in the traditional sense, flow meters and liquid (material) level meters are used to detect the preparation tank and storage tank. In terms of constant volume metering, the metering accuracy of some media in constant volume metering is low (if 100 mL of 95% alcohol is added to 100 mL of water, it will be less than 200 mL, but the mass will not change), and the flowmeter and liquid (material) level meter need to be in direct contact with the materials, which does not conform to GMP. With the progress and improvement of weighing technology, non-contact weighing detection methods that are not affected by material characteristics, can adapt to different processes and materials, and are more in line with GMP are increasingly applied, such as bioengineering and API preparation.

This paper focuses on the application of weighing equipment in the preparation of injections. At present, some high-end pharmaceutical enterprises begin to use weighing technology to control and detect the preparation process of injections, which improves the automation level of measurement management and ensures the drug quality. Taking the weighing system of a typical dispensing tank in the injection production as an example, as shown in Figure 1, the three pressure weighing modules installed at the bottom of the tank transmit the weight signal of the tank to the junction box, in which each weighing module signal is connected in parallel, and the angle difference can be adjusted according to the loading condition of each weighing module. The combined weighing signal is sent to the weighing terminal or weight transmitter, The weighing terminal or weight transmitter processes the weight signal into corresponding weight data and uploads it to the PLC or DCS system to realize weighing measurement and batching control and ensure product quality.
